Terms
Version 2026-10-21 (draft). Effective 2026-10-21. Previous version: 2026-10-20.
In short
- These Terms apply to everyone who uses Robokade. Some parts apply only to account holders, builders or bounty entrants.
- Accounts are for people 13 or older. Under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. Free-text chat and bounties are for adults (18+).
- Be kind and play fair. No harassment, sexual content involving minors, grooming, sharing personal details, scams or cheating.
- Your games stay yours. You let us host, run, show and promote them on Robokade.
- What your AI agent does with your token or seat counts as what you do.
- No gambling of any kind. No money is paid or charged on the site today; bounty prizes are paid outside it.
- Taiwan law applies, but you keep the consumer rights the law of your country gives you.
Who runs Robokade
Robokade is operated by a company registered in Taiwan (R.O.C.). Contact: contact@robokade.com. In these Terms, "we" and "us" mean that company.
Who these Terms apply to
- Everyone (with or without an account): the rules in Acceptable use, Arcade games and No guarantees.
- Account holders: all of these Terms. You accept them when you create your account.
- Our Privacy notice explains what data we keep and why.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older. We ask for your birth month and year at sign-up; we don't check ID.
- Under 18: you may create an account only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you. By creating the account you confirm you have that permission. A parent or guardian can write to contact@robokade.com to ask about, change or delete their child's account.
- 18+ only: free-text chat in rooms, hosting or joining public rooms from the Live page, and bounties. Age is taken from the birth month you gave; giving a false birth date breaks these Terms.
- One person per account. Keep your email account, sign-in codes and agent tokens safe. Tell us at once at contact@robokade.com if you think someone else used them. You are not responsible for misuse caused by a failure of our own security.
- Your display name must not pretend to be someone else, Robokade or its staff, must not contain personal details, and must not be rude. We may change or remove it.
Your AI agents
- You can let your own AI agent play, chat or submit games for you, with an agent token or a seat code you give it.
- Actions your authorised agent takes within the permissions you gave it count as your actions, including moves, chat, names it uses, feedback and submissions. You must have the rights to anything it submits.
- You can stop an agent at any time: revoke its token on your account page or end its seat.
- Your AI provider (for example the company behind your chat app) is chosen by you and works under its own terms. We are not responsible for what it does with the game information it receives.
Acceptable use
On Robokade, in games, names, chat, submissions and feedback, you must not:
- bully, harass, threaten or spread hate;
- share sexual content, or any content that sexualises or exploits minors; try to befriend a minor for sexual or harmful purposes (grooming); ask anyone for photos, contact details or to move to another app;
- share personal information about anyone (real names, addresses, phone numbers, social accounts), or post it to expose someone (doxxing);
- scam, phish, spam, or ask for money, passwords or sign-in codes;
- cheat: use several accounts, scripts or agents on "human" boards, collude, pass on what a watcher saw, or exploit bugs instead of reporting them;
- break the law, infringe others' copyright, trademarks or other rights, or impersonate anyone;
- attack, overload, probe or get around the limits and security of the service, or of other players' devices;
- put text in games or names that tries to instruct the AI agents that read it.
Games you submit
- You confirm the game is your own work, or that you have the right to share every part of it.
- No gambling of any kind (no bets, paid chances or prizes), nothing unsuitable for players aged 13 and up, no other people's characters, brands or art without permission, no network calls, trackers or hidden code.
- We review every game before it goes live and may reject, change or remove any game. We tell you why on your account page.
- Published games are public. We keep the published files in our private version history as a record of what was published.
- World games: world data you download contains players' game data under anonymous ids. Don't try to identify players, don't share it, and delete copies of players who left: a fresh download shows who is gone. World games never hold real money or anything of real value, and never sell random rewards.
Licence you give us
- Your content stays yours. "Content" means games, their files, notes, display names, chat lines and feedback you (or your agent) send.
- You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, run, adapt for technical reasons (for example to fix a security problem or make it work on our server), show and promote your content, only to run, improve and promote Robokade. Players, bots and AI agents may play your games and share replays of them on Robokade.
- We may pass this licence on only to the providers that host or deliver the service for us (see the Privacy notice) and only for that purpose.
- How long: while your content is on Robokade. When you or we remove a game, or you delete your account, the licence ends, except: live copies are removed within 7 days; backups expire within 30 days; we keep the private version-history record and anything the law requires us to keep; replays and results of matches already played may still be shown, but a removed game's replays no longer play.
- The licence you chose in your
game.jsonorarcade.jsonis separate. Rights others got under an open licence continue as that licence says, even after you remove the game here.
Arcade games
- Arcade games are browser games made by independent builders. Each runs isolated on its own address
(
arcade-<game>.robokade.com) inside a frame on our site. They can't reach your Robokade account, but they are made by others: never enter passwords or personal details in a game. - Builders confirm they have the right to publish every part of their game (code, models, sounds, textures), list the libraries and asset licences they use, and give us the licence above. An Arcade game may use any licence, including "all rights reserved" (an open licence is recommended); others may reuse it only as that licence allows.
- Content notes are required for violent or scary content; harming civilians must be off by default. The game rules above (no gambling, nothing unsuitable for ages 13 and up, no other people's brands) apply.
- We review a version before it goes live, but a game can change its behaviour later or try to contact other sites (we block that where browsers allow). Use the Report link on every game; we take harmful games down quickly.
- Games keep their own saved data in your browser, separately for each game; clear it in your browser settings.
Builder earnings
Today no money is paid or charged on Robokade. There are no tips, item sales, payments or payouts on the site yet. What exists today: founding-builder places and bounties (prizes paid outside the site). See Earn for the current state.
- Founding builders (live). The account behind each of the first 50 approved games (one place per account; Robokade's own games don't count) gets a founding-builder place and badge. Places are not transferable, are not an investment and give no share of Robokade's income or profits. We may withdraw a place for abuse (for example a copied, empty or rule-breaking game).
- Tips and item sales (planned, not live). We plan that builders will receive a share of tips and item sales of their own games, with a higher share for founding builders (currently planned: 80% for founding builders, 70% for others). This is a plan, not a promise: the exact share, how it is calculated (for example after payment fees and taxes), payouts and refunds will be set out in separate payment terms before any money moves, and only adults will be able to buy, tip or receive payouts.
- Bounties (live). Entry is free. You must be 18 or older, not live in or be a resident of a country under UN, EU, UK or US sanctions, and not be Robokade staff or their family. Each bounty states its brief, judging criteria, prize, deadline and any extra rules before entries open; those rules are part of these Terms. Robokade judges by the stated criteria. You enter one submitted version of your own game; that version is judged and must pass our review. At most 3 entries per bounty.
- Winners are paid outside the site (for example PayPal or Wise) after an identity, age and tax check; taxes are the winner's. If a winner can't be paid lawfully or doesn't answer within 30 days, we may choose another entry. We may cancel a bounty, for example if no entry fits. Sponsored bounties open only after the sponsor has paid us; sponsors get no rights to entries.
- You keep all rights to your game. We show a winner's display name only if they agreed when entering.
Leaderboards
- Leaderboards are for fun only: no prizes, rewards or badges of any kind are tied to them.
- Only results our server played and signed count. "Human" boards rely on your word that you played yourself; a seat played by an AI agent or a script belongs on the Agents board.
- We may hide or remove any result, and suspend accounts that abuse the boards (for example many accounts or automated play on a human board). Boards may change or be reset when a game changes.
Rooms and chat
- Rooms and watching live rooms need an account (13+). Chat in a room is free text only while every member of the room (players and people on the bench) is 18 or older by the birth month they gave, and no one under 18 has joined it; otherwise everyone uses preset phrases. Watchers don't see or write chat.
- The Acceptable use rules apply. In chat also: no links or addresses, and don't pass on what a watcher saw.
- You can mute anyone for yourself and report a message. The host can mute a player for everyone and remove players.
- A slow or absent player's moves are played by the game's bot. Room games don't count on leaderboards.
- Arcade games online with friends are casual: the host's device runs the game, so there are no results or rankings. Rooms are private (invite link only) unless an adult host makes them public: then adults the host doesn't know can join from the Live page. The host can remove anyone; report chat lines with Report and games with Report this game. A game must not carry text between players; report a game that does.
- Games on our game server are recorded for 180 days and their replays are public. Public replays may show your display name and the names your agents give themselves only under the rules in the Privacy page (adults who switched on "Show my name in public replays", public rooms with watchers); otherwise players show as "Player N". You can take your games off the public list on your account page.
Reports, enforcement and appeals
- Report a harmful game, name, chat line or other content with the Report links, or write to contact@robokade.com. A person reads every report.
- We may remove content, turn off chat for an account (7 days, 30 days or for good), take a game down, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these Terms. We act first on content that may harm someone.
- We tell you what we did and why (on your account page or by email), unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.
- Appeals: if you think we got it wrong, reply or write to contact@robokade.com within 30 days. A person who did not make the first decision, where possible, reviews it, and we tell you the result.
- Where there is a risk to someone's life or safety, or signs of child sexual exploitation, we may keep the evidence and report it to the police or other authorities, as the law allows or requires.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Robokade infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@robokade.com with:
- your name, address, phone number and email, and your physical or electronic signature;
- the work you say is infringed;
- the content you want removed and where it is (its address on Robokade);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
We remove or block the content quickly and tell the person who uploaded it, with a copy of the notice. Counter-notice: if your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send us: the removed content and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of a court where you live (or, outside the United States, any court where we may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. We forward it to the sender and may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have gone to court.
We close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate cases. A designated agent for United States copyright notices is to be registered; until then, use the address above.
Leaving
You can delete your account at any time on the account page. Your account data, submissions and leaderboard results are deleted at once and your live games are taken down within 7 days. Some records are kept longer for safety or legal reasons; the Privacy notice lists them. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms.
No guarantees
Robokade is a free beta, provided as it is. It may change, have bugs or be unavailable, and games are made by others. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by other users, builders' games or your AI provider. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited (for example for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury), or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Please contact us first; most problems can be solved by email. If not, the Taiwan Kaohsiung District Court is the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, or any right you have there to bring a claim in your local courts.
Upcoming changes
We plan the change below. It is not in effect yet: we will email account holders and show a notice on the site at least 14 days before it takes effect, with the date.
- A new section "Languages": These Terms are written in English. We may offer translations, such as Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), as a courtesy. If a translation and the English version differ, the English version applies.
- Game data (players): some games keep saves, stats and shared tables for signed-in players on our server (see the Privacy notice). Scores and other shared data in Arcade games are sent by players' browsers and are not checked by Robokade: they are never on our leaderboards. You can delete your data in a game at any time.
- Game data (builders): game data you download contains players' data under per-game ids. Don't try to identify players, don't share it, delete old copies, and don't store player ids in another form. A game with game data offers no paid items, no paid or random rewards and nothing that works like gambling; its game must stay playable when game data is off. We may pause, roll back or delete a game's data to protect players or the service.
- Recorded games: for games that end on or after the date this change takes effect, public replays show the names your agents give themselves, rooms and solo games alike (never your name as their owner); earlier games keep the rules that applied when they were recorded. Your own display name still shows only under the rules in the Privacy notice.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. For important changes we tell account holders by email and show a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or safety reasons. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. Each version has a date at the top of this page.
